St. David's Holy Faith Secondary School said farewell to the graduating class of 2016/2017 on Friday, May 19th. The 6th Year students, their parents and teachers attended a heart-warming celebration in the church of the Holy Rosary in Greystones, followed by a graduation ceremony held in the school.
The celebration in The Church of the Holy Rosary was punctuated by music and readings performed by the outgoing 6th year students. The students offered thanks for their time in St. David's and for the guidance that they received in the school.
Following the service, the celebration moved to St. David's Holy Faith Secondary School where the the school's Principal, Deputy Principal, Head Boy, Head Girl and Year Head delivered nostalgic and emotive speeches praising the good nature and work ethic of our outgoing students. The Student of the Year Award this year was received by K. Sheehy and acknowledges his commitment to up-keeping the ethos and values of our school community - helping others, commitment to personal growth, participation in extra-curricular activities along with a focused and determined work ethic.
Celebrations continued in the school's dining hall with refreshments and cake - kindly organised by the parents' association.
The entire school community would like to take this opportunity to wish our 6th Year students the very best of luck in their examinations and in all of their future endeavours.
