It's a bittersweet time of year for the community of St. David's Secondary School. Today we congratulate, and say farewell to, another year group of students who will soon sit their Leaving Certificate exams and head onward.
This year's graduation ceremony began in Holy Rosary Church, Greystones where students gave thanks for the wisdom and guidance they have received over the years. They also offered thanks for the friendships made and prayed for calm and focus in the coming weeks.
The school community, 6th Year parents and friends then gathered in the school's hall to hear speeches from the Principal (Ms. O'Doherty), Deputy Principal (Mr. Carey), Year Head (Mr. Reynolds) and Head Boy and Head Girl (C. Gaines and E. Berney).
This year's student of the year prize was bestowed upon S.Gurrin. The successful student is awarded as a result of teachers' recognition of outstanding contributions to school spirit and ethos. The award is kindly presented every year by Bray Lyons Club.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish our 6th Year students every success in the upcoming exams and in their future endeavors.
