Every year we pray for sunshine and this year our prayers were answered. Sports Day is a long established tradition in St. David's and famed for the fun it provides for the entire school community.
We gather at Eire Óg G.A.A grounds (thanks Eire Óg!) at the start of the day and partake in various track and field activities along with novelty events. The day promotes friendly competition between the different class groups with the winning base class being presented a trophy at presentation day.
On the day, the last event is always the tug-o-war between the outgoing 6th Year team (ladies) and the female teachers. This year, the 6th year girls proved too strong for the teacher's team, winning in straight bouts. Well done girls!
Below are a selection of photos from the day.
