Our Transition Year students were treated to a talk by Tom and John from the Sugarloaf Lions Club on Friday 01/04/22. During the very insightful and informative talk, the students told Tom and John all about their efforts towards securing the Green Flag for litter and waste; the first Green Schools Flag in the school's history.
Tom and John talk to the students about the history of the Sugarloaf Lions Club, the wider international Lions Organisation and the valuable work that the Lions complete in the local, national and international and international community.
The Sugarloaf presented a cheque to the Green Schools committee at the end of the talk and will allow the students to purchase robust and lifelong recycling bins for the Dining Area in the school. We'd like to thank the Sugarloaf Lions for their support of our Green Schools Programme and we look forward to creating strong ties with the club in the coming years.
