Minor Soccer vs Templecarrig

12/11/2018

The boys started off well in the first half and had a few chances. Unfortunately the first big chance of the game came to Templecarrig which they scored from. Mark Hayden came close with two chances in the space of three minutes. Stand out performances in the first half came from Mark Hayden, Cian O’Longaigh, Cian Bollard, Euan Brady  and Callum Smith.
The second half saw a bright start from Davids. They had many half chances with two of them coming from Callum Smith. Great control from Callum Smith allowed him to get a shot away which forced the Templecarrig keeper to make a save. Good kicking from goalkeeper Luke Whelan put Tom O’Malley through down the right wing for another St. David's chance.
The lads put in a good shift but were unfortunate that they couldn't capitalise on some chances but they showed great enthusiasm and  a desire to win and hopefully will win their next matches.

The next game will take place on Wednesday of next week against Creagh College. A win in this game will secure a place in the semi-finals.
