Student Liason Teams

St David's Holy Faith has developed two student leadership programmes. The prefect structure in 5th Year and the Head Boy/Girl positions promote growth through offering students responsibility and encouraging them to make positive contributions to their school community.

Head Boy/ Head Girl

5th Year Prefects

Our Head Boy, Head Girl, Deputy Head Boy and Deputy Head Girl are selected at the end of 5th Year and perform their duties throughout the course of 6th Year. The students are elected to their positions by their peers, teachers and the Principal and Deputy Principal. Students interview for these positions and the successful candidates are chosen as a result of years of positive contributions to their school community. The highlight of the posiition of Head Boy and Head Girl is the delivery of their speech during the graduation ceremnony in May of 6th Year.

All four members of the senior liason team provide a vital link to the various committees and intiatives that are run throughout the school by their peers.

The 5th Year prefects are selected as a result of an interview process.The position is open to all students who are entering 5th Year. Students are selected on the basis of the skills and initivatives that they have been involved in and the leadership capacity that they have displayed. Prefects are arranged into sub committees. This year, the 5th year prefects will provide assistance to staff and their peers by developing a 'buddy system' for younger students, contributing to leadship programmes in sports and clubs, supporting the schools IT infrastructure and leading wellbeing initiatives throughout the year. If you call to St David's for any of our open nitghts, parent-teacher meetings or infromation evenings, you will be assisted by our prefects.
