On Thursday, the 16th of January, the 1st Year boys soccer team played in an exciting match against neighbouring school, Coláiste Chraobh Abhann. As the first half began David’s came out very strongly, with John Byrne scoring an amazing goal in the first minute. David’s completely controlled the game in the first half with some great football played. They scored goal after goal to make it a whopping 7-0 at half time.
In the second half David’s continued to dominate the game not giving the other team a chance and with CCA’s goalkeeper going off injured David’s scored 5 more goals to make it 12-0 at the end of the match. It was an excellent performance from the players and an amazing win. Goals were scored by: John Byrne (5), Andrew McCarron (2), Chris O'Brien, Rhisper Barnard, Gethin Davies, Jack Williams and Sean Noonan.
Well done to the boys and a massive thanks to their coach, Mr. McDonnell.
