St David's Holy Faith Secondary School has recently ungone a transformative, multimillion euro renovation and rebuilding project. The school now boasts state of the art facilities in all areas of curricular and extracurricular student experince. Our school structure has been drastically updated to include a contemporary look, new sporting and arts facilities, new general and specialised classrooms and a wide range of facilities. These benefit every member of our school community on a daily basis as we strive for the highest standard of teaching and learning, social and pastoral education possible

It goes without saying that our school looks amazing but we think that the function that our common areas provide is even more impressive, all of which are designed to encourage social interaction and performance. The open and airy halls and foyer are scattered with couches and small nooks to allow for students to assembly for an impromptu lunchtime performance or to have a quiet supporting word with a teacher or friend. Terraced areas allow for assemblies and instruction. These are all flexible, multi purpose spaces that are used by staff and students alike. Outside, when the weather permits, we have designated teaching areas to allow is to soak up the sun along with some knowledge.
Our school is filled with modern light, and grand, open views that take full advantage of our unique position hugging the shore of the Irish Sea. The connection to the sea and our location is one of the central elements in our school's identity and is also reflected in our school's crest.

Music
St David's Holy Faith Greystones
Music is central to the atmosphere of the St David's community. Our music room takes up a position of prominance in our foyer, fitted with large bifold partitions, allowing for concerts and performances; both formal and informal. For every day use, the cavernous foyer provides a rich acousitc environment for the community piano . Everybody is encouraged to take a turn on the piano and its sound has become ever present, resonating through all of the halls. The music facilities are used for formal teaching of the subjects at Junior Cycle and Soenior Cycle level but also for a range of extra curricular activities. These activities are constantly changing to reflect the changing needs of the students. At the moment, choir, show tunes, music club and even a rock band all taek turns to use the music room throughout the week.

The best quality computers, tools, machines and views will meet any student who decides to choose materials woodwork, engineering or graphics in St David's. These subjects also benefit from their own computer lab for digital design. It sits on the thrid level or the school and boasts incredible views out over the Irish Sea. All rooms are equiped with the best quality tools and technoilogy to ensure that students of these subjects are being taught to the most modern standards that are relevant to today's world. All of these facilities are used at Junior Cycle and Senior Cycle levels

Our existing science labs have been refurbished and a new science lab has been added as a part of the schools development. The science labs are used by Junior Cycle students studying science, and Senior Cycle students studying biology, chemistry or physics. Physical Education

Healthy bodies lead to happy and healthy minds. St David's sporting facilities are the best that you will find in a school. Our sports arena is stunning facility allowing for the teaching of curricular Physical Education along with facilitating our bustling extracurricular sporting programme. On the second floor of the landmark sports arena is a gym, equipped to the highest standard with the best equipment. Our school is also the only school to have an astro turf of its kind, allowing us to train and compete while enjoying views of the coast.
Library

Our school library is on the first floor. It is quiet escape to worlds of words, positioned at the heart of the building. It looks out over the sea and contains sections for both junior and senior students. The library is a positive environment that encourages students to read and and enjoy the escape that a book provides. It also hosts class from all subjects and subject specific material. The library is also a quiet place to study and research and is equipped with dedicated Chromebooks and its own digital teaching and learning tools.

Visual Art

Our school walls are an opportunity for us to celebrate the artistic achievements of our students. Their artwork is born in in our newly constructed Visual Art rooms. The room cater for all forms of artistic expression for both Junior Cycle and Senior Cycle students. The visual art rooms are spaces in which to be inspired but also spaces that inspire. They tower over the seascape below, providing endless opportunities for landscapes.

Home Economics
St David's Holy Faith Greystones
The aroma of fresh cooking is the most pleasant welcome that any visitor to our school could ask for. The home economics rooms have also been recently refurbished. They are equipped with modern cooking facilities and working spaces as well and are also fully functioning teaching areas, equipped with their own digital teaching and learning infrastructure. The home economics facilites are used by our Junior Cycle and Senior Cycle students.
At Senior Cycle, students also engage in social studies in these rooms as a component of their curricular studies.

At various times during the year the home economics rooms become a hive of activity. Students assist in cooking for special occasions during the school calendar.

Student Facilities

All of our student are provided with secure personal lockers to store their belonging and to lessen the burden of the weight of books in their bags.
The school has a variety of outdorr spaces and seating areas to allow students to realx in the fresh air during break times. We encourage our students to enjoy our open spaces and to take up every opportunity to relax and enjoy the unique environment in which the school is situated

Our school sensory room is a timetabled space that allows students with specific needs to rest and relax in an environment that is calming dor the mind and body.
Our school dining hall is open to students at break times. The dining hall oerates a full canteen service. The canteen service is a fully digital service, proving students with a top up card and allowing them to pre book, bulk book or buy their lunch and snacks on a day to day basis. The service is a healthy and tasty option for busy families.
