1st and 2nd Year Nutrition Talk - April '24

On Thursday April 18th the 1st and 2nd years received a sports and nutrition talk from Paula Duggan. 

Paula started the talk about the myths surrounding healthy eating and the false information about nutrition before you exercise. Paula also said she disagrees with making ‘unhealthy’

foods your enemy, we shouldn’t have to eliminate the foods we all love just to be healthier. It’s all about finding a balance.



Paula also explained what foods are good to eat before participating in sport and how eating the wrong foods and not drinking enough water can really impact your ability to perform to your highest standard 

She talked about how healthy eating doesn’t need to be difficult and if we stuck to the basics everyone's eating habits would become so much healthier. 

The 1st and 2nd years really enjoyed this talk and were full of questions at the end and are really thankful to Paula for this valuable information.
