On Friday the 19th of December, we closed out the calendar year with one final show-stopping event: our annual Christmas concert! Mr. Carey began the day by welcoming everyone, reminding us all of the special quality that Christmas possesses - that it is the season of family, respect and, ultimately, love. He also spoke about the unifying nature of the season, regardless of our individual backgrounds whilst also highlighting the importance of celebrating the birth of Jesus. O

Thursday 18th of December saw our annual three schools Christmas concert brought to life, hosted by our wonderful friends at Temple Carrig. There was a massive gathering of people for the highly anticipated event with a lot of support coming from our own school. The service began at approximately 7:30 with an opening carol of “Once a Royal David's City”, sung by David’s, Temple Carrig and GCC combined. On Wednesday, 10th of December, our wonderful group of Sixth Years hosted St Catherine’s Christmas Party in the Sports Arena. The event was a resounding success with 52 students from St Catherine’s in attendance. The Sixth Years organised and ran multiple different activities, from giant connect-four to hand-painting, cookie decorating and Christmas colouring. Along with that, we had our very own Santa and Mrs. Claus in attendance played by Daniel O’Reilly and Maria Hassett.
