Last Friday, the 8th of May, St David’s welcomed back 60 years of alumni for a fabulous evening of reconnecting with the school and old classmates. The evening, organised by The Past Pupils Union and Principal Simon Carey was a fantastic success. The ‘Reunion of the Sixes’ welcomed back graduation years ending with six, 2016, 2006, 1996, 1986, 1976 and 1966! Today Cal Melvin, Siofra Scanlon, Keah Reilly and Nicole Gavin along with Ms.Cavey went to the SciFest Regionals in Tallaght. Cal Melvin won an award for his project ' Assessing Human Influence on the survival of the Little Tern Species'. Nicole Gavin won an award for her project ' A lending hand'. Despite the nervous refreshing of weather apps throughout the week, we completely avoided the rain and were able to stage our annual Sports Day on Friday 8th of May. With students across all year groups primed and suitably motivated by their tutors, each class made their way down to Eire Og to put their physical limits to the test. Amidst a fun-filled atmosphere, students threw, hopped, ran and dodged their way through a gauntlet of events, striving to win those vital points
