A big thank you to all the students, staff and parents who contributed to the SVP/Sugarloaf Lions hampers for Christmas appeal. The SVP group sorted everything out yesterday to create a lovely variety of items, sweet and savoury, in every hamper. The Lions collected them yesterday evening and three car loads containing all 38 hampers were being delivered at 3pm yesterday. Thank you for making such a difference to so many families this Christmas. Thanks a million.

On Friday the 5th of December, the creative writing group and the first years gathered in the library for a workshop by the amazing Eilish Fisher, who is the author of the novel Fia and the Last Snowdeer. The main topic of the workshop was to educate the students on creating their own stories. She talked about the structure of how to write a book, and the creative process involved. On Wednesday the 3rd of December, a group of 15 TYs organised a Christmas movie night for the first years in aid of Tiglin. The tickets cost €10 upon entry, which included a goodie bag. The group of TYs who organised it will be taking part in a sleepout on December 12th in the Marina in Greystones and donate the money raised to Tiglin to help those sleeping rough this Christmas.
