Junior Cycle Awards Presentation

Today, Friday the 29th of November 2024 our students who sat the Junior Cycle Exams in June attended an awards ceremony for their academic achievements. Awards were given to those students who achieved a Distinction (>90%) in their Junior Cycle Exams in Higher Level and Common Level papers. This awards ceremony is in recognition of academic excellence within the school. In total, we had 91 distinctions within the year!

Beginning with the Base Class 3A the awards were given to:

Ruairi Moran	Lucy O’ Leary
Kian Quigley	Jack Shortt

 The next  base class to be given awards was 3B:

Cian Levins	Ella Tidd

After 3B we moved on to the base class of 3C:

The next base class to receive their awards were 3D and they were awarded to:

And last but certainly not least we moved on to the awards for 3E which were given to:

After the base class awards we moved on to the awards from each base class, they are as follows:

3E	Alannah Lynch

And to wrap up this celebration we had the overall Junior Cycle Award named the 'Little Leah Award' in memory of Leah Little, a past Junior Certificate student who lost her battle to cancer. This year, it was awarded to Ella Tidd, who received 9 distinctions. 

A massive congratulations to all those who received an award and to every single student in the year who worked so hard and achieved brilliant results.
