1st Year Boys Rugby Vs St. Columba's

Mr. Davies First Year boys took on a strong St Columba's side yesterday, the 21st of November, narrowly losing. The team kept their heads held high throughout the entire game, working together and making their coaches proud. They were captained by Padraig Quinn and were inspired by Mr. Davies encouraging words. They fought to the very end even in the harsh weather.

Tries were scored by Andrew McCarron, Ryan Goff and several others all of which were easily converted by their excellent kicker Sam Large. This team has trained diligently twice a week since the beginning of the school year and will not stop at just one loss.  They are hardworking and dedicated and are one of the best first year team that has come through St David’s in recent years. A special mention to Rhisper Barnard and John Byrnes outstanding performances in the backline.

It was an unfortunate loss for the boys today but they have kept their head held high and will continue to train and perform as best they can. The lads should be proud of their performance!

A massive thanks to their dedicated coach, Mr. Davies
