On Tuesday the 3rd of December our 1st Year Boys made the short trip down to Greystones United to take part in a local derby against league rivals Temple Carrig.
With help from the two TY coaches, Leo Duffy and Matthew Carrick, the David's boys got ready to face their local rivals.
From kickoff, David's controlled the game. With multiple close encounters, David's opened the scoring with a goal from Ryan Goff and quickly doubled our advantage. After a while, David's unfortunately conceded two quick goals as the scores were levelled, however the Seasiders remained in the ascendancy. As a reward for their perseverance, the David's forward, Chris O’Brien, scored to make it 3-2 to David's, with Gethin Davies taking the game out of reach by scoring a brilliant goal.
Upon the final whistle, the result was 4-2 in David's favour. Overall, a great performance from the David's lads, whom we have no doubt will build on this result.
A big thank you to the lads' coach ,Mr McDonnell, for accompanying the team.
