On the 4th of October, an extremely exciting day was to be had for our Second Years. A large, black dome was put up in our Sports Arena, where a projector showed images of planets and our solar system onto the one large, curved wall surrounding the pupils. Guided by Martin, an astronomy enthusiast, the Second Years learnt lots of interesting facts about space and our solar system.
It was evident from our students facial expressions that they thoroughly were enjoying themselves and everyone was engaged with the experience from start to finish. Lots of students felt that it was an amazingly fun and creative way of learning about our solar system instead of sitting in their scienceclassrooms!
