First Year Girls Basketball Vs CCA

On the 29th of January, the first year girls took on CCA in an intense match at home. The match started at 12.30 and the minute the whistle blew the girls were determined to put up a strong fight.

The girls were neck in neck with CCA and the tension was rising. Hannah Allman scored the first basket for the team. CCA shortly came back with a few points. There was a tie until the halfway mark. The girls had an inspirational team talk with their coach Ms. Matthews, making the girls determined to get more baskets.

In the third quarter they had a great start with Amy Nolan got an outstanding basket with St. David's taking the lead. Shortly after Hannah Allman and Zoe Brennan got more baskets for the team making it a tie in the very last minute. Unfortunately, CCA got the winning basket making the final score 10-12.

A massive well done to the 1st years with their brilliant performance and their teamwork on the court. We would also like to say thank you to Ms. Matthews for supporting the girls.
