Avondale Cross Country Relays

On the 24th of September, a group of students from First to Fourth Year attended the annual Wicklow Schools County Relays held in Avondale. The relay is a 3-leg run with each student running 500m. We had a total of 8 teams who ran, winning medals in two events. These medals were earned by the First year girls who came home with bronze. This team consisted of Rachel Carley, Megan Driver and Holly Byrne. The Senior mixed team also did well taking home silver. This was a team made up of Conor Byrne, Conor Church, Laoise O’Gorman and Niamh O’Neill.

Well done to all others who took part, St David's had a great representation with many strong runners who will hopefully continue to make our school proud.
