First Year Boy's Rugby Vs Cloiste Colmchiles

On Friday October 24th, our First Year Boys faced Templeogue and Colaiste Cholmcille in a seven aside rugby blitz. St David's had two exceptional teams playing in this blitz. 

St David’s Team 1 started off strong with a victory over Temple Og with the score being 2-1 to Davids. Our Team 2 then played Cholmcille in their first match, also securing a victory with Matthew O'Brien scoring his first try of the season.

The boys played 4 more matches and won each of them, this secured both teams a place in the semi final. In the semi final was St David's vs Templeogue.

Right off the bat, Templeogue scored a try but David's didn't let that affect them and got a try scored by Josh Duggan, which brought the boys right back into the game. Temple Og put up a strong battle but David’s fought through and took the win with the score being 5-1.

St David's second team was also competing for the final against Templeogue’s second team and came away victorious meaning it was St David's vs St. David's in the final.

Both teams were neck and neck until Cormac from Team 1 scored a try. Right after team two scored a try leaving both teams fighting for the win. On the last play both teams were eager for the win, Tadgh skilfully managed to score a try giving David's Team 1 the overall win.

Well done to both teams who performed exceptionally and a massive thank you to coach Mr. Byrne and St Mark's for hosting. Well done lads!
