On Wednesday, the 4th of December Ms. Carmody held her annual Christmas dinner for her busy Sixth Years. This is a cherished tradition that has been going on in the school for over a decade!
Transition Year students, along with the help and guidance from Home Ec. guru Ms. Carmody, prepared the delicious dinner so all the sixth year home economic students could just sit back and enjoy!
They arrived into the classroom and within ten minutes they received their dinner. There was turkey, ham, stuffing, gravy, mashed and roast potatoes, carrots and everyone’s favourite, brussels sprouts! There was also a vegetarian lasagne made for those who did not want the meat option. The year head, Mr. O’ Donnachadha joined the sixth years and enjoyed his Christmas dinner with them. Even though people were very full, they could not resist dessert! They had the choice between home-made mince pies and coffee cake with tea and coffee.
It's safe to say that the dinner was a massive success and that everyone really enjoyed the food and getting a break from the Sixth Year mayhem! Ms. Noone will hold her Christmas dinner party on the 18th of December.
