Junior Boys' basketball vs TCG

On the 30th of January, St. David’s junior boys took on Temple Carrig in basketball. The match started at 9 o’Clock in St. David’s sports arena. St David’s started strong, setting a fast pace for the match ahead.

Within 3 minutes, we had scored a 3 pointer. This was quickly followed by 2 more scores. Around the 5 minute mark St. David’s were awarded a free. This was taken by Cian Fickett, unfortunately he missed the first shot however, made the second one. Temple Carrig suddenly fought back, scoring for the first time. This attack did not last long before St. David’s scored again. Temple Carrig did not give up and scored another time. To end the first quarter number we scored again leaving the first quarter with a score of 12-4.

St. David’s started the second quarter strongly getting another free in the first minute, which led to another scored point for David’s. Temple Carrig sought to gain a foothold in the game, coming back by scoring 3 more shots, before long David’s began another attack keeping them in the lead. Temple Carrig scored once more before David’s got another free. To end the second quarter Cian Fickett scored 2 more shots making the score 19-12

St. David’s dominated the third quarter with 9 more scores, leading to a scoreline of 33-15. St. David’s did not relax in the last quarter determined to give it everything. They scored another 10 times. Temple Carrig however also did not give up scoring another 3 baskets. The match ended with a final score of 50-22.
