On Wednesday the 11th of December our Junior Boys' GAA team, led by their coach Mr. Crowe, took on a strong Blessington side. The match kicked off at 10:30 AM despite the freezing cold weather.
The match started with a strong battle for the lead with the game being even on all fronts. Unfortunately, after 15 minutes Blessington took the lead with a well worked point. David’s was quick to react with an excellent point from AJ Long. Throughout the rest of the first half David’s and Blessington were in a deadlock with Blessington taking the lead and gaining momentum. They managed to score a few crucial points.
Going into the second half the lads were encouraged to keep going by their coach Mr. Crowe. The lads went into the second half with a new found confidence and took the game to their opposition. Unfortunately they weren’t able convert their chances meaning that the game ended with an unfortunate loss for the lads.
The loss did not display how well the lads played and how they kept going for the whole game, never giving up. A massive thanks to their coach, Mr. Crowe, for accompanying them.
