On the 7th of November, the Junior Boys' Gaelic team took on Temple Carrig down in Éire Og, on a cold rainy day, with the boys eager to get going.
St. David’s opened the match with a point from John Byrne as the intensity from both sides was immense. Both sides kept the score board ticking, with a goal from Cillian Gallery Martinez. At half time it was 1:4 to St. David’s 1:5 to Temple Carrig.
After a team talk to Mr. Crowe and their coaches Conor Church and Dan Farrell, Transition Year students, the boy’s were ready to take on the second half. With a goal from Conor Shevlin to get the boys lifted, they kept working throughout. Multiple amazing saves were performed by Ross Kavanagh, but it wasn’t the St. David’s day today with the final result ending 3:8 to 4:9.
