Junior Boys Soccer vs Holy Family Rathcoole

On Monday the 20th of October, our Junior Boys Soccer team were in cup action against Holy Family Rathcoole. David’s started the game off well against a very strong opposition. Though they fought extremely hard, and showcased great skill, Rathcoole came out on top. Unfortunately the lads conceded 3 quick goals towards the end of the first half.

They headed in at half time knowing work needed to be done. After a quick, motivational talk and some changes from their coach Mr. Cahill, they were ready for the second half, returning to the pitch with their heads held high.

In the second half the lads pushed for a score. Jack Corrigan was skillfully able to create a few chances and even hit the post. Although the lads put in their best effort, unfortunately the opposition was too strong and they additional goals.

The game ended 6-0 to Holy Family Rathcoole. The lads showed great fight throughout the game and performed well against a very good team. They will be able to take this experience and use it in future matches. Huge thanks to their coach Mr. Cahill and to Greystones United for providing the pitch for the match!
