The three post-primary schools in Greystones are delighted to invite 6th Class pupils and their parents and guardians to attend their upcoming Open Nights this September.

St David’s Holy Faith Secondary School, Greystones Community College and Temple Carrig School will each open their doors to prospective students and their families, providing an opportunity to visit the schools, meet students and staff, explore facilities and learn more about the educational experience each school offers.

The Open Nights will take place as follows:

St David’s Holy Faith Secondary School

Tuesday, 22nd September 2026

6.00pm – 8.00pm

Greystones Community College

Thursday, 24th September 2026

6.30pm – 8:00pm

Temple Carrig School

Tuesday, 29th September 20266.30pm – 8.30pm

Families are warmly encouraged to attend the Open Nights and to take the opportunity to learn about the distinctive ethos, values, curriculum, facilities and extracurricular opportunities available in each of the three schools.

A Shared Admissions Process for Greystones

Families are also reminded that applications for First Year places in the three Greystones post-primary schools are now managed through the Department of Education and Youth’s Apply to School online system at applytoschool.ie which opens on 1st October 2026.

Rather than completing separate application forms directly with each school, parents and guardians use a single online application process to apply for First Year places in the participating Greystones schools:

  • St David’s Holy Faith Secondary School

  • Temple Carrig School

  • Greystones Community College

Importantly, the single application system does not replace the individual admissions policies of the three schools. Each school continues to process applications in accordance with its own published Admissions Policy and admissions criteria. Parents and guardians should therefore familiarise themselves with the Admissions Policy and Annual Admissions Notice of each school to which they are applying.

The online system is intended to simplify the application process for families while also helping schools and the Department to identify demand for post-primary places in Greystones at an earlier stage.

Three Schools – One Community

The three Greystones post-primary schools continue to work collaboratively to support students and families as they make the important transition from primary to secondary education.

While St David’s Holy Faith Secondary School, Greystones Community College and Temple Carrig School each have their own distinctive ethos, traditions and educational offering, the schools share a commitment to providing high-quality education for the young people of Greystones and the surrounding area.

Further information regarding each Open Night will be available directly from the individual schools.
