Junior Girls Soccer vs St Mary's

St David’s Junior Girls Soccer, led by their coach Mr Geoghegan, came up against a tough St. Mary's team in Greystones United today. Despite playing consistently well for large stretches of the game, St Mary's accuracy in front of goal proved to be decisive. The game started with David’s retaining a high level possession in their half. The excellent defensive line kept the ball up the pitch leading to Laoise scoring. The girls kept up the heads and kept putting pressure on the opposition.

However, the attacking pressure of their opponents ultimately proved too much, despite excellent wing play from Laoise and Grace, as David's went on to lose 3-1. A special mention goes to Naoise, Aoife, Emily, and Lily who each had great games. Incredible saves were also made by the goalkeeper Hazel.
