On the 16th of September, our Junior Boys' rugby team travelled to Donnybrook for a Leinster Blitz. They had three 20 minute matches winning one and sadly losing two. They completed a quick warm up in preparation for their first match against St.Pauls.
The lads were up against a very competitive side and were unlucky to not come away with a try from their first match. They were not disheartened, trying their hardest with the next match against swords community college. The game was very close with Oran Pegman and Eugene Darcy both scoring a try, but Swords ultimately took the victory.
Their last match was against Ardgillan, and the team was all fired up and gave it their all. They had a great match to finish off taking the victory 21-5 to Davids, with all tries being made by Matthew Evans. A special well done to the man of the match, Ben Callan, playing hooker, who proved to be a key player out on pitch.
A massive well done to the boys and a huge thank you to their coach, Mr. Brady.
