Junior Rugby League Champions!

The Junior Rugby team finished off their season with a superb 24-19 win over East Glendalough in the South East League final today.

The match was high quality and high tempo, attended by a stand full of Junior St David's supporters. Our lads started in a determined fashion, in front of the big crowd, by taking the early initiative in the form of a Dean Barry try. James Ward then crossed over for a second to make it 12-0. East Glendalough replied to keep the pressure on and make it 12-5 at half time.

An exciting second half saw the game go back and forth - with St David's showing great spirit in long periods of defence. Another try from Dean Barry and one from Noah Morgan put St David's into a commanding position before two late tries back from East Glendalough led a nervy last five minutes.

Thankfully the team's hard work in the early minutes and their strong defense saw out the win and sparked joyous scenes on the pitch and in the stand.

Congrats lads. The school community is extremely proud of you performances this year! Many thanks to Mr Davies for his work with the team.
