Minor Girls' Soccer Vs GCC

The Minor Girls' Soccer team entered today's game against Greystones Community Collage in Greystones United with high spirits today. After an energetic warmup the match kicked off at 12pm.

Despite the heavy rain and gloomy conditions the girls kept their heads held high and did not score or concede any goals within the first half.

At the half time the girls were growing tired and the wonderful subs made an appearance on the pitch for the second half. However, after a strong fight from St. David's, GCC scored a goal. The St. David's girls were not going to let this go so they fought tooth and nail and Katie Ward scored a n equalising goal.

Ultimately St. David's were beaten 2-1 but put in an amazing effort. Well done girls! And a massive thank you to the coaches, and Greystones Community Collage for the great match.
