On Thursday the 23rd of October, the 2nd year boys GAA team, led by coach Mr. Short, braved the bad weather to play a thrilling match against East Glendalough in Éire Og. Kick off was at 11:30 and they had a tough start as EGS scored 1 goal and 1 point within the first 15 minutes, but St. David's kept pushing and ended up scoring 5 points before half time, taking the lead in the process.
During half time the team had an encouraging pep talk from Mr. Short so they were prepared to bring their A game for the second half!
The team continued to stay in the lead and play an excellent second half by scoring a further 2 goals and five points.
The game ended with the final score being 2:10, 1:7 to St. David's. This was a fantastic victory for the second year team, they took pride throughout the match and played extremely well against such a skilled team. Huge thanks to their coach Mr. Short and Éire Og for providing us with their excellent facilities.
