Second Year Girl's Basketball Match vs Dominican College

On Thursday the 23rd of January the Second Years faced a strong basketball team from Dominican College. Dominican travelled up and we hosted the match in our wonderful sports arena.

The first quarter started and it was even throughout. Both teams had chances at scoring in the basket. Unfortunately, the first shot was made by Dominican College. David's retaliated and Lailya made an excellent run up and scored the first point with two minutes remaining of the first quarter.

David's had a strong second quarter both teams were full of hope and held high spirts throughout. They scored two baskets.

Unfortunately the opposition put up a fight during the remainder of the match taking over the scoreboard. This did not stop David's enthusiasm as they showed their determination. They played an excellent match. The final score was 40-12 to Dominican College

Although the girls might be disappointed with the loss they should be very proud of their amazing performance.

Well done to the players and their coaches Ms Matthews and Rachel!!
