Student Council visits Dáil

On Monday the 26th of January, St. David's student council reconnected with neighbouring schools; Greystones Community College and Templecarrig, following the first Student Council Trilateral Conference. The students travelled by DART to visit Dáil Eireann where they received a guided tour of the Dáil before meeting with local TD, Jennifer Whitmore.

During this meeting students presented their first Greystones Youth Voice Report; highlighting key aspects of concerns surrounding issues facing our students and sharing views on what the government should prioritise and focus on in collaboration with young people.

The opportunity to use their voices to make a positive contribution to society was both empowering and meaningful. The Student Council were very grateful for the opportunity and remain committed, both through their roles and beyond, to continuing to work towards the positive changes they wish to see in the world.
