TY Rugby Match

Mr. Brady's TY boys rugby team were away to St Gerard's school in the first round of their TY league, this year being the first year to take part in a D1 competition. The game kicked off at 2 o’clock after school. They fought a strong Gerard's side and even though they were missing many of their key players.

There was some amazing talent exhibited by several players on the David's side, including Tiernan Williams in fly half, scoring a try and setting up many others. Danylo Biletskyi, playing prop, scored a try after charging through Gerard's defense, Cillian Brady controlled the pitch at centre, scoring David's final try in the second half.

The David's lads fought hard to the end but it was a disappointing defeat for our TY's

A special thanks to all the volunteers and coaches that have helped the team get this far and it won't end here with the remainder of their ty league matches in the new year. The boys will have an exciting few months ahead of them and hope to learn from this experience for their next match.
