U16 Basketball 21st October

On Tuesday, 21st of October our U16 girls basketball team faced local rivals Greystones Community College in a home match. Led by their coach Ms. Dempsey, they warmed up in our home court this morning. The match started off with a bang, scoring 10 points in the first quarter before being chased down on the scoreboard by the opposition. A tight defensive line and strong drives up the court from Moya Marrinan brought the score to a draw in the second quarter, leaving tensions high after the first half.

Unfortunately, Greystones Community College had the better game today, and established their lead in the third and fourth quarters. The team showed a great display of teamwork and camaraderie, despite the hard loss.

Well done to the girls for the close match and as always thank you to coach Ms. Dempsey. A big thank you to GCC for travelling for the match today.
