U16s Basketball vs Temple Carrig

On Monday 29th of September, our 3rd year girls basketball team and their coach Ms. Dempsey made their way to our neighbouring school, Temple Carrig. They started off confident with a strong warmup led by Ms. Dempsey.

St. David’s starting 5 entered the court prepared and ready for the match. St. Davids won the ball at the throw up and was able to keep possession for the majority of the match. Despite their good passing and good runs, Temple Carrig were able to get a good few points which put them ahead going into the third quarter.

The girls kept their heads high as they entered the last quarter of the match. Unfortunately, Temple Carrig put up a really hard fight in the last period, which made it really difficult for St. David's. During this game, the girls showed lots of brilliant skill and dedication towards this sport and team, they never gave up trying. Throughout the end of the match Temple Carrig were able to stay ahead which was unlucky for the U16s girls as they put up a good fight and an excellent performance.
