U19 Basketball VS GCC 21/10

Yesterday, 21st of October, our U19 girls basketball team had a terrific win against local rivals Greystones Community College. The girls and their coach, Ms. Courtney were delighted to end the close match with a win.

They launched into the first quarter with multiple baskets from Lily Cullen and Aoife Fox, establishing an early lead. A strong attacking line and precise shots kept the girls ahead through the match, securing a further 7 baskets in the second quarter.

After a close third and fourth quarter, the team came out on top, triumphing in their final game of this league. The final score was 26-24, a very close match indeed. Our top scorer, Beth Deery, shot a whopping 5 baskets, and the winning basket was scored by Caitlin Hanrahan. The girls worked hard together as a team to keep up the score to the very end.

A big thank you to Greystones Community College for travelling to play us and to coach Ms. Courtney for leading the team to their victory. Well done to the girls for the great match played and the impressive win!
