Whole School Assembly - March '24

On the 8th of March 2024, our school had a whole school assembly. This whole school assembly covered events from January and February as well as March.

Mr Carey began the assembly by introducing our Head Boy, Hugh O’Carroll and Deputy Head Girl, Martha Doyle. They introduced our SVP team as well as Deputy Head Boy, Mike O’Neill and Deputy Head Girl, Ella Fitzsimons to talk about their new charitable cause, Liberty Soup Run. Liberty Soup Run is a charity that relies on donations as they do not receive funding from the government. They accept donations like clothes and non-perishable goods. Mike and Ella are working alongside the SVP team to help Liberty Soup Run help those who need it most. Rían O’Gorman from the SVP team gave a speech about Liberty Soup Run and how SVP is helping them.

Next up was our F1 in Schools team and we had Lauren O’Leary and Deaglan O’Neill give speeches about our F1 team. They have made a prototype of a part of their car and they brought it to assembly.

Ms Murphy and Ms Cronly gave a speech about the musical, thanking those who helped and those were involved in it.

Mr Carey and Ms O’Sullivan started handing out awards for the past two months of school as we didn’t have an assembly in January or February. We finished out our assembly from a song from our choir. Our choir finished 3rd in the Wesley Music Festival.
