The fifth whole school assembly of the year took place on the 29th of January to bring the school community together and to celebrate Catholic schools week. The assembly began with an opening from our principal, Mr. Carey, followed by a prayer read by Deaglán O’Neill. On Monday the 26th of January, St. David's student council reconnected with neighbouring schools; Greystones Community College and Templecarrig, following the first Student Council Trilateral Conference. The students travelled by DART to visit Dáil Eireann where they received a guided tour of the Dáil before meeting with local TD, Jennifer Whitmore. On the 28th of January 2026, St. David's invited first years to bring their grandparents, parents, guardians, aunts, uncles or friends into our school for a morning of making St. Brigid's crosses over a cup of tea.  We were very lucky to have Fr. Barnardo in to officially open the morning with a prayer, reminding us of the Catholic ethos of our school.
