Junior Boys' Rugby v Blackrock

On Wednesday March 5th, our brilliant Junior Boys' Rugby team faced a representative Blackrock College side away. Coming off a win against Oatlands, the boys were keen to extend their streak.

The whistle blew and Blackrock kicked off to the Greystones outfit. The first half started off slowly but Jorge Duch ended the dry spell with a try followed by a conversion by Cian Levins. Another try by James Ward and conversion by Cian Levins marked the end of the first half with a scoreline of 14-0 to David’s.

The second half began and it was clear that Mr Cahill’s half-time team talk had the lads ready to

win. Notable tries in the second half were scored by Ewan Darcy, Cillian Meehan, Kai Hardy, Jack Corrigan and Clarke Kelly. Cian Levins will have given Andy Farrell a selection headache, throwing his hat into the Crowley/Prendergast debate as he converted an impressive 7 out of his 8 kicks. As the final whistle blew the score was 47-0, an impressive win for our lads securing their place in the knockouts and lengthening their winning streak.
