The game started at 11.30 on Tuesday the 6th of January. It was a cold and wet morning in Rathnew and the pitch was covered in frost but after a quick warm up and a speech from their coach, Mr. Geoghegan, they were all fired up and the girls went out with a hunger to win.
In the first half the girls took a huge lead, dominating the midfield area throughout with great scores from number 11, Moya. It was an amazing start. The girls held their lead and were unlucky to concede a few points but made up for it with an aggressive attack.
In the second half of the game the girls continued as they started, increasing the gap in the scoreline. As the final whistle blew the game ended with a fantastic St. David's 8-7, CCM 3-2. They girls got their well deserved victory.
Thank you so much to the coach Mr. Geoghegan, CCM for the match.
