Junior Girls GAA vs Loreto Bray 1/12/25

On Monday, 1st of December our Junior Girls GAA team were in action against Loreto Bray in Éire Óg.

The moment the game began Loreto put on the pressure, unfortunately scoring 3 points and a goal early on. Ciara Fitzgerald retaliated and managed to pull back 2 points with Ciara Lehane also scoring a great goal just before half time. 

The score at half time was 2-4 to 1-3. The girls came in at the break knowing that work needed to be done. Their coach Mr. Geoghegan  had a word with them and motivated them for the second half.

As the second half began, Loreto managed to add 3 points early on, but that didn't discourage the girls as they fought back for the remainder of the game and put pressure on Loreto's lead. Moya Marrinan led the fight back by scoring some nice points and a great goal towards the end of the game. Unfortunately this wasn't enough and the girls fell to a narrow 3-9 to 2-9 defeat. 

Overall this was a great performance from our Junior Girls GAA team as they fought very hard right until the end while playing some great football. A huge thanks goes to their coach Mr. Geoghegan and Éire Óg for allowing us to use their pitch. Well done girls.
