On a windy rainy afternoon, the Junior rugby match between Templeogue and St David's began. The match started at 1:30 on Thursday the 2nd of October.
After a shaky start , the lads started to get into the game and had a few good spells of possession. David's had to sustain a wave of attacking talent from the Dublin side, defending bravely against a well-drilled outfit. After falling behind, David's had reason to celebrate as in the 25th minute, Matthew Evans scored a brilliant try to keep the lads going and Lucas Henry got the conversion. Then George Donnelly went on to score two tries of his own in the first 15 minutes of the second half and good conversions from Connor O'Farrell.
A few good runs came from Brodie so the Templeogue line threatened on multiple occasions but it was to ultimately prove a tough afternoon for the Greystones side as they eventually fell to defeat.
The team now turn their attention to their next game, hungry to achieve the win that escaped them today.
