St. Catherine's Christmas Party 2025!

On Wednesday, 10th of December, our wonderful group of Sixth Years hosted St Catherine’s Christmas Party in the Sports Arena. The event was a resounding success with 52 students from St Catherine’s in attendance.

The Sixth Years organised and ran multiple different activities, from giant connect-four to hand-painting, cookie decorating and Christmas colouring. Along with that, we had our very own Santa and Mrs. Claus in attendance played by Daniel O’Reilly and Maria Hassett. This pair were helped by our four elves: Ellie Hall, Ernie Pust, Mia Thompson and Eoin O’Neill. These special VIP’s were delivered to the school in a fire-engine, courtesy of the Greystones Fire Brigade. They were then set up in Santa’s Grotto where they handed out personalised gifts and Christmas cards to each child.

All students were more than excited to join in dancing to Christmas music. The group danced along to old favourites such as ‘Rock the Boat’ and ‘The Macarana’ making an appearance. The fabulous party was concluded with an acapella performance of ‘Last Christmas’ by a group of sixth years before they sent the St Catherine’s students off with a guard of honour. It was wonderful to see this tradition so successfully upheld and we hope it can continue for years to come.

The Sixth Years had the time of their lives and were overjoyed to be able to provide such a special experience to all these students.
