St David's vs Enniscorthy Community School - 17/12/25

On Wednesday the 17th of December our Junior Girls' soccer team took on Enniscorthy Community school in Greystones United, with an 11am kick off. It turned out to be a great success for the team as they had an amazing victory, making coach Mr. Geoghegan proud.

The game kicked off with St. David's putting on a lot of attacking pressure. They earned an early corner which led to Laoise O’Gorman scoring a header, giving David’s the amazing start they needed. The team kept going and had a blistering start as Emily O’Driscoll scored a few minutes after the opener. This was followed by Niamh O’Neill scoring and Emily O'Driscoll getting her second goal by the 12th minute. Later on into the first half Naoise Morris scored a well worked goal followed by Niamh O’Neill getting her second before half time.

At half time the girls caught their breath and were determined to get back out and keep playing. The second half began and Freja Gustaferron immediately made some exceptional plays leading to a goal. This was followed by Enniscorthy having a half hearted counter attack which the keeper heroically saved. Late into the game, St. David's got another corner and it fell to Áine Ryan at the edge of the box who shot and scored, closing the match.

The full time whistle went and the team were proud of their great performance with a whopping 8-0 to David’s! A massive well done to the team and to Mr. Geoghegan for coaching the girls.
