Technological University Dublin - 6th Year Talk - November '23

On the 7th of November the 6th years had their first of many college talks. Dylan Payne, Technological University Dublin’s school liaison officer, came in to give the 6th years an insight into the facilities and courses on offer at TUD.

Dylan talked about all of the courses on offer at TUD. He informed the students about how they offer the most art places in the country along with engineering, business and many more courses. He told the students that if the course they want requires a portfolio, they should put as much work into it as you would do if you were aiming for 100 points in English or Irish.

Dylan gave the 6th years a breakdown of all of their campuses and informed them of an open day on the 2nd of December. They were also shown a video in which current students who are studying talked about their experiences within the clubs and societies that are offered in the university. He said that it was ‘a great way to meet people’ as there is a ‘common point of interest’.

This was a great opportunity for the 6th years to learn about a possible college option and thanks so much to the guidance team of Ms Grogan and Mr Fox for organising this!
