Three Schools Christmas Concert 2025

Thursday 18th of December saw our annual three schools Christmas concert brought to life, hosted by our wonderful friends at Temple Carrig. There was a massive gathering of people for the highly anticipated event with a lot of support coming from our own school. The service began at approximately 7:30 with an opening carol of “Once a Royal David's City”, sung by David’s, Temple Carrig and GCC combined. Everyone was then welcomed by the Temple Carrig principal, Ms. Crean, inviting all to enjoy the service, regardless of background.

The three principals gave the first reading, offering hope to all and increasing anticipation for the following performance. The music continued with “Sparkle and Shine” sung by the Temple Carrig junior choir, who invited audience involvement through clapping and lively performance. GCC took the stage with “Holiday Road of Carols” and “Holly Jolly Christmas”, both extremely uplifting with impressive harmonies. Then came the second carol which had all of the audience hooked.

Then came a reflection given by Rev Natasha Quinn Thomas which reminded the audience of the contagious nature of action and mood, saying that showing kindness spreads and it is our obligation to “bring light into the darkness”. She also spoke of attitude and it’s relation to religion. Further reflection was given by Sasha Sweeney, encouraging gratitude and remembrance.

Then came our David’s choir’s time to shine. They sang a beautiful rendition of “Northern Lights”, which was impressively sung fully in Latin. They closed their section of the night with “Christmas Lullaby”.

A highlight for TCG came with their performance of “Joy to the World”, as they encouraged clapping from the audience, and received great audience participation. Overall it was a powerful performance.

As the night came to an end closing blessings were said, giving thanks to every school and congratulating everyone for amazing performances. Finally the last two carols were sung, “Hark the Herald Angels Sing” and  “Merry Christmas Everyone”, receiving a standing ovation.

Overall it was a huge success, seeing great performances from all schools. A massive well done to our David’s choir for making our school proud. Thank you Temple Carrig for hosting such a lovely night and to Ms. Cronly and Mr. Noonan for helping our choir.
