09Twelve Photography Exhibition

On the 9th of December we had another amazing 09Twelve Photography Exhibition. This was a fantastic night with over 250 photos submitted! There were 50 photos framed and displayed and the others were projected onto a screen so we could all see them. In addition to this, we also had a section showcasing our last year's Leaving Cert Art projects.

The 09Twelve Photographer Exhibition is one of the highlights of our Arts programme. It lets students, teachers and past pupils all share their passion and helps to showcase the creativity that can be found across the school community. As with last year, the work from everyone presented on the day was incredible.

There was a massive amount of talent and the level of the photos this year were absolutely incredible. These photos were all judged by a great local professional photographer, Tom Scott. The winner for category one, Juniors, was Naoise Morris ‘Untitled’. The winner for category two, Seniors, was Ben Roth ‘Ying & Yang’. The winner for category three, Staff, was Jeremy O’Hanlon ‘Untitled’. And the winner for category four, Past Pupil, was Jenny O’ Reilly Sheridan ‘Untitled’. These photos were absolutely fantastic, it was a very close competition with astonishing pieces from everyone who entered.

The night was superb, and it is all thanks to our three amazing teachers who organised this event Ms. Gore, Ms. Carey and Ms. Cronley. It could not have been possible without them. Also, a huge thank you goes to the PTA for helping to set it up and to everyone who showed up on the night.

The Exhibition was truly magical and we're already looking forward to next year's edition!
