The First Year Boys A’s rugby team played local rivals TCG in a friendly match as a warm up for their league campaigns. As soon as the match began, St. David's dominated the play, utilising their skillset they've been developing in training. From the off, the boys managed to keep possession as they made their way up the pitch. As St. David's were close to the TCG’s try line, they managed to get a penalty, securing a try in the process. The conversion was far out but Hugo Collier did an excellent job and added the further 2 points.
As the match went on, both teams were battling against each other for ascendancy yet at half time the score was 19-0 David's. The match continued impressively, with both teams showcasing their skill level. David's scored another 2 tries, getting the conversion on both, with the final score being 33-7 David's.
Thank you so much to Greystones Rugby Club for hosting this great event and to Mr. Byrne and the team getting the well deserved win. Well done lads!
