On the 17th of October 2023, Our U17 team were down in Greystones United to play a match against local school, Temple Carrig. Kickoff was at 12:30. In the first half, St David’s played great, defending very well and were playing with great spirit. The defensive line of Craig Brock, Tim Phelan, Sammy Martin and Seán McGloughlin played great the whole match and let nothing past. They were under pressure from Templecarrig but they were resilient and came out strong. Everyone played to the best of their ability and by the end of the half, they came out scoreless. That was helped by the fact that the keeper, Oisín Waters, played extremely well and made some great saves.
In the second half, St David’s were unlucky not to keep the game scoreless as 7 minutes into the second half, Templecarrig scored. 8 minutes later, Templecarrig scored again. Mr Doyle made some substitutions and changed the team around. St David’s began attacking with great spirit but they were unlucky not to score. The game finished 2-0 to Templecarrig and well done to them!
