Minor Boys Soccer Final Victory - January '24

St David’s Minor Boys Soccer Team came up against Creagh College in the Wicklow/Wexford Minor Boys Football Final. The game kicked off at 14:10 with an electric atmosphere with the majority of St David’s Transition Year attending the game. The rain was constant during the game but the boys fought through and although the first half was goalless, David’s were marginally ahead.

The second half kicked off and the boys were ready. They had a number of chances and in the dying embers of the game Damiano Martin whipped the ball in from a corner which met Joshua O’Connor’s head who venomously hit it into the side netting. The boys held Creagh College off for the final few minutes and reigned triumphant in the end. A great win for St David's and the Minor Boys and hopefully there will be more in the future.

Well done to the boys on bringing home this amazing victory and a big thanks to their coach Mr Brady for getting them this far!
